• Health Care Practitioner training and support with a focus on primary care physicians not connected to the HIV sector or supports and practicing within geographic areas showing higher HIV risk.
• Support efforts to pilot and scale up innovative approaches to increase access to HIV testing, focusing on populations with high rates of HIV infection (e.g. self-testing, emergency room testing, sexual health clinics, integrating HIV testing into programs that serve people who used substances, such as hepatitis C teams and Rapid Access Addiction Medicine clinics).

• TtZ Testing Action Team roles within the provincial HIV Testing Workplan.
  • Actively support and leverage testing initiatives focused on TtZ 2026/2027 newcomer support priorities (e.g. Immigration Medical Exam clinic engagement; supporting precariously insured newcomers).
  • Monitor and inform, where appropriate, provincial initiatives such as expansion of Fast HIV, Point of Care & GetAKit expansion.

• Establish a single point of contact for immigration clinics (TtZ Plan, Action Item #2E)​

• Coordination, secretariat support, facilitating TtZ engagement groups (e.g. Action Teams, Task Groups) towards meaningful and effective TtZ Plan implementation activities, while utilizing identified roles, responsibilities and mechanisms for collective accountability.

• Work with Liaison role(s) to monitor, contribute and, where alignment exists, incorporate work, to leverage within TtZ.
• Leverage provincial campaigns to promote Toronto-specific messages.
• Continue to inform and provide Toronto specific perspectives to provincial priorities led by the OHTN (e.g. testing and newcomer initiatives).

• Champion a Toronto-specific lens to provincial efforts towards improving data collection
